Oil blotting sheets…I know, not the most glamourous topic to talk about but we might as well tackle that midday shine using the good stuff, right?!
Unfortunately, it’s a never ending daily battle with my T-zone shine and rather than adding additional layers of powder on top of my makeup I prefer to use oil blotting sheets. They can sometimes be hit or miss and can definitely be a beauty blunder if you don’t get the right ones! Unfortunately, I found out the hard way through trial and error only to find that some removed oil AND my makeup!
A little while ago I came across Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers, and they have been my go to oil blotting sheets since then! They are made from 100 percent natural abaca leaf and gold flecks, yep small gold flecks are actually in them! Unlike some other blotting sheets, the Tatcha Beauty Papers are powder and fragrance free which is awesome. I didn’t experience any irritation, and they didn’t leave a powdery residue after using them. They absorb excess oil eliminating any shine without drying me out and most importantly they do NOT disturb my makeup!
They are pretty decent in size so one sheet is probably all you will need to get the job done. They are of durable quality so you can use both sides of the sheet too.
The only downside I find is that they are a little pricey. They retail at $12 for 30 sheets, but they really are the best I have tried and worth the money.
I couldn’t be happier with Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers! I always keep a pack of these in my purse for a quick fix!
These are definitely BeautyGrail status! ♥
